Not what I wanted most in Glues

I read the reviews and thought no fuss - you can dampen the tape and stick it around the edges of the watercolor paper. If you've dabbled in wallpapering before, this is for you. It has good adhesive but does not provide consistent adhesion and leaves gaps and raised areas. I had to take it off and throw it away. I went back to blue masking tape and masking tape. They offer an edge-to-edge barrier and I can easily trim the options with my X-acto. A real mess and not cheap.

Pros
  • Kraft
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

I have used this product for attaching watercolor paintings to substrates and gluing mats to coasters. I glued 1/2 of the ribbon to each of the glued objects and glued the other half of the ribbon to the ribbon to form a hinge. It worked well for the most part, although in a few cases the tape got tangled before I could attach it. However, it was easily removed. In some cases the moisture I used on the tape wasn't enough, but it was easy to re-wet it when it warped without damaging theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Adhesives
Cons
  • Big and chunky

The end of the roll did not stick

I initially liked this tape as the white color did not affect the value or color perception of my paintings and it held up well until removed. Halfway to the reel it started not getting stuck. When I stretched the toilet paper it felt like it was stuck firmly, but when it was completely dry a few sides came loose. Tried to reattach - or add more tape. Still didn't stick. Some of the paintings have been warped by peeling off tape. As if the last half of the roll wasn't covered with enough glueโ€ฆ

Not what I wanted

I have read reviews and found no hassle - I can dampen the tape and tape around the edges of the watercolor paper. If you've dabbled in wallpapering before, this is for you. Pros
  • 1-1/2" x 60 yd and 1-1/2" x 30 yd two sizes to choose from (36mm x 60m and 36mm x 30m)
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

I used this product to fix watercolor drawings on a support and to fix a mat on coasters. I glued 1/2 of the ribbon to each of the glued objects and glued the other half of the ribbon to the ribbon to form a hinge. It worked well for the most part, although in a few cases the tape got tangled before I could attach it. However, it was easily removed. In some cases the moisture I used on the tape wasn't enough, but it was easy to re-wet it when it warped without damaging the painting.

Pros
  • Suitable for all types of stationery: painting, gouache, watercolour, sketch, etc.
Cons
  • No power
