My son has problems with fine motor skills. He is also tall and thin. His kindergarten didn't need belts, but he couldn't hold up his pants! We tried the magnetic tape first, but he didn't have enough arm strength to pull both sides of the tape together. This belt is perfect for my 5 year old who needs it for kindergarten (for uniforms). He sits on it perfectly, he's tall and thin. I love how it attaches to the belt loop and velcro in the middle so a small child can easily open it by themselves to use the bathroom. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to write his name on it like I did on all his other items and of course he took it off after only 2 weeks and left it at school, never to be seen or heard from again.
