Works out of the box, no drivers required.

I hooked this up to a B450 Tomahawk Max MB with 6 x 10TB drives. and 1 small 240GB FreeNAS SSD and it booted right away. Show all 6 discs. If that ever goes wrong, I'll take another one!

Driver hunt required. site under test

It seems to work great with drives loaded, but even with some suggestions in the reviews and answers here, it took some time and effort to find drivers for this one thing, so I can't give her 5 stars. I finally found some working drivers from the links here (use at your own risk). search fortenforums (point c) -> drivers/hardware -> 60112-marvell-92xx-sata-controller-6gb-fahrer-windows-10-1-2-0-1039-whql (ht em L) They contain the base old driver so even that device shows up at all in…

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • really don't like it, everything is fine

Contains eight high-quality long (over 20 inch) SATA cables with flat connectors and metal clips. It does NOT show up as an unknown device in Windows 10 Build 20H2. You must use the driver disk and install it manually to "see" all attached drives. The mini-CD contains drivers for several other products. You should check the SATA CARD catalogue. This is where the confusion comes in as there are directories for ASMedia, JMicron and Marvell which are all possible controller chips used. Since the…

The map works, the installation is bad, the map software is bad.

Excellent delivery. The map looks beautiful. The install went fine (Server 2012 R2, manual install) but the OS wasn't listed for support, but adding it manually made it faster. The biggest problem (see picture) is that the SATA1-8 labels are NOT CORRECT! I ended up having to connect a drive, boot the machines, wait for the SATA summary screen to appear, and highlight the drive's port. As you can see SATA 1=2, 1=1, 3=1 and all others=3.5 Port 3s and it only shows the first 4 drives connected but

Plug and Play on ProxMox Linux/Debian machines

I was very concerned about this product after reading some reviews and playing around with the flash process on the LSI card before returning it. Much to my surprise, I plugged this card into my Hp Compaq Elite 8300 Small Form Factor (i5, 8GB RAM, 3 of the 4 SATA ports on board were already full) and it just worked. I connected this to a PCI M.2X2 card and now I have 15 drives mixed NVMe, SATA SSD and HDD working perfectly. Definitely recommend. Maybe I'm just lucky that my motherboard works…

It might work if you figure out how to install

I have an 8 port SATA PCIe card. Right at the beginning after I put it in my motherboard the board wouldn't boot. I am using an Asus ROG Strix B550-F Wifi Board with the latest firmware (Version 2006 Build 2021/04/08). The motherboard would display the UEFI BIOS splash screen and then sit there forever without being able to proceed or boot into an OS or even open BIOS pages. and set the PCIe slot modes from "Auto" to "GEN1/GEN2/GEN3" and then reinsert the card; I tried that but it didn't seem…

Works great with driver

MOBO recognizes only 4 of 8 hard drives. Once in Windows, after installing the driver, all 8 hard drives are correctly recognized. The driver comes on a minidisk, which is a bit inconvenient considering optical drives are not that common. It took some effort to find a computer with an optical drive, copy the driver to a USB stick, and then install it on the target computer. I tried the raid built into Windows 10 but it failed without any specific error. I haven't tried other options, but I'm…

Not compatible with Windows 8 or 10

First, there are no drivers available online for this card. Windows does not recognize it and therefore cannot find them automatically. It comes with a driver CD. Personally, I haven't had a computer with a physical CD drive in years. So if you don't have one, there is no way to get drivers. First I installed chipset based drivers for this card and it worked but only with ports 1-4. . Ports 5-8 did not work. So I got a big headache finding an old DV drive and installing it to get a driver from…

Good product if you have the correct firmware installed

Well, the card comes with a mini-disk, which I immediately threw in the trash before realizing that the firmware was going to be so hard to find on the internet. After reading some of the comments here, I was able to find the correct firmware called "MAGNI Family Driver 1.2.0.1041" by searching for "Marvell 88SE91xx/88SE92xx SATA Driver". The card installed without any problems and after installing the correct firmware it worked. To the right. Previously, the BIOS would show random disks on…
