We had cat three with a tornado that swept right through my yard and the area with them chained to the ground. My batting cage wasn't so lucky, we've since bought more straps and I've now secured my cage to the floor. The spikes themselves went into the ground very easily although I used two of them hit rocks. They just turned right around the rocks with a few extra turns. The straps are also easy to install, but I'm more concerned about the clasp and strap being able to withstand high winds than the protruding lugs. Fragile bracelet with plastic clasps that are easy to break. We assembled the trampoline one evening after work and I wanted to make sure it was secure before leaving it overnight. This is exactly what we needed for our trampoline. We live on a hill and the winds get pretty strong! We used these anchors in the ground as an extra precaution to keep the trampoline tethered.
