How well written, scary!

Our writing department manager used this book as the primary format for illustrative content. I felt this was the perfect choice as Sedaris' ability to draw the author into his world was remarkable. He didn't miss a single detail, and at the same time he never overdid it. His stories were crude, insulting, and real. This is something the world is hiding from and would rather die than admit. Good memoir but not as fun as a book

Naked sat on my shelf for at least a year before I decided to read it. I have a bad habit of not reading books after I've bought them, so that shouldn't surprise me. As a memoir, The Nude is an incredibly good collection of autobiographical essays. As you make your way through Naked, you just don't believe in the dysfunctional Sedaris family.
