Adapter was missing from my box. After many, many attempts, I finally got through, only 22 minutes late. When I explained my problem to the rude person on the phone, she kept asking for the number of the tree on the box. I had to explain to her several times that I was talking about a star and not a tree. Finally she understood and said she would mail it to me. I told her I need it now, I have an event at my house on Monday and I need it this weekend. She said they are too busy it's peak season

While most of these bad reviews are based on people not knowing what they are buying, mine is based on actual usage. I bought the first one and sent it back because it was broken and a part was missing. Then came the second replacement sprocket and it fitted my tree perfectly. Unfortunately, the second topper broke in the first year of use. We love the star. It looks great on wood when lit. It's all clear plastic, so up close, when unlit, it's not as attractive as some stars. But when I look at it, sitting on the couch 8 feet away from me, it looks pretty nice even with no lights on. We have a 4½ foot tree. I was concerned that this star might be too big for a tree my size, but it isn't. It looks perfect but would also fit on a taller tree.
