NCG FO2ANTPF Ford F-150 and Expedition Vehicle Specific Mount Review

I didn't want to use the magnetic roof mount and had to take it off to get into the garage. Looks nice, a few hobbyist friends noticed. I had to get the PL-259 cut off the end of the coax cable to run it through a small hole in the floor behind the driver's seat. I bought a PL-259 connector kit to replace the one I cut off (you'll have to solder it) This resulted in a nice, Clean installation of my mobile device. The SWR meter showed that the installation went well with no adjustments needed.

I bought this for my 2005 Ford Escape knowing it wasn't listed as compatible just because I looked at lots of photos and compared it to my car to make sure the basics were correct design features would work. I ran into a few issues, but it worked out great in the end. The angles and length on the sides of the hood match perfectly, I just had to ask a friend to sand the corner a bit to fit the frame around the stud properly. Overall this is a great product. Installed easily and as advertised. This is a well made and sturdy mount. I wouldn't hesitate to use it again if I need to. However, its design requires installation by the driver. The 2014 Ford Expedition has a horn launcher on the passenger side that allows access through the firewall.
