Description of Unleash Your Ruckus 50's Potential with NCY 0900-1076 Performance CDI - No Rev Limiter

Just installed on my 2016 Honda Ruckus with Polini CVT. Didn't increase speed uphill like I would like but was able to accelerate to 45 on a flat surface and jumped more from 0 to 35. Definitely a solid buy for the price! I also added a high efficiency K and N air filter. The setup turns off the switch when you turn the bike off.

DO NOT BUY: Motorcycle & Powersports

Worked fine for about a month and then all of a sudden my engine started rattling and stalling! So many people have told me to get it and it turns out it was a big mistake! Could hit 40mph but now I'm spitting and plodding around at 35! Do not buy this junk from this seller! I can't even get him back because he died after the deadline! Very angry! Had to lose $100 for it and also lost q days of salary for having to miss work to try and diagnose this piece of shit.

Recommended for motorcycles and motorsports

Expensive but works. Install this on my 50cc Honda Ruckus and you will notice the difference to other aftermarket CDIs. My old CDI is fried which is also an aftermarket, when I tried opening the throttle on the scooter for about 5 minutes it got hot and hard to start but this ncy CDI is no problem just 1 cold weather start and it works automatically. So far no problem. Memory. If you install NCY CDI, your switch will turn off. (I mean when the engine is running you can't turn it off when you…

Downgrade from OEM

If you are using a newer Ruckus that has the limiter set to 8900 instead of 8000 then you are almost certainly downgrading unless you have a lot of mods on your scooter Installed. My mods: Polini variator and 5.5g roller belt (mass upgrade) Iridium spark plugs K&N intake manifold with injector (77) is a bit trickier. If you're looking to upgrade the engine quickly or want to exit and get your motorcycle license it might be worth removing the airbox, upgrading the carburetor and upgrading the…

It works but don't expect much.

A standard Ruckus requires most of the plastic to be removed or repositioned to access the spool and existing wiring harness and properly route the new wiring harness. No problem if you have already worked with motorcycles/scooters. The new wiring is pretty simple. As others have said, the switch no longer kills the motor. In terms of performance, this CAN SOMETHING increase acceleration from a standstill. This will remove the rev limiter. Before installing, I accelerated to 40 mph (no wind, on

This was my last mod and got me to 50mph!

Did everything I expected her to do. I'll start with that. I updated the CVT, exhaust, K&N intake and refilled the carburetor. This way I was able to go from 38 mph to 42-43 mph. I got to the point where I hit the rev limiter fairly easily at 42 at 8800 rpm. Since the last time I did CDI I have removed the limiter and now I can get to 50mph. I would also recommend a cheap 4-stroke tach so you can keep an eye on yourself since you don't have top end protection. I am happy with the purchase but…

A must for Ruckus!

I weigh 160 pounds and have a 2011 Noise with 2500 miles. I installed it within a day and got immediate results! My Ruckus was 100% stock prior to installation and this is the only modification so far. 0-30 mph is faster and it's now easy to hit 40+ mph on the flat. I also noticed a 5 mph improvement on a certain hill. I was able to do 50+ runs which was very helpful in some areas of Seattle. I'm awaiting the arrival of my other fast parts but glad I had the opportunity to test this…
