Excellent for cold shoe connection. Attached a tripod adapter for iPhone to it and it works great for taking pictures with both. I also use it with my Miops dongle for easy on-camera control.

One thread at the end was broken, one was fine. I've bought quite a bit of the newer stuff and am mostly happy with it. I could have saved a little more for a lower price but I wanted what I thought was better quality, I think I lost this time.

I use these to attach a rail to my night vision camera where I set the zoom H1N and IR light. I can connect my zoom with it without any problems. Easy to use, feels solid and heavy, you can't accidentally break it, so that's good. Everyone around us is happy.

They are made of metal and feel solid. Newer is a fairly well known poor man brand, not some totally obscure brand with a totally random name like "CompFlexLife". You're not we're almost the best, but . I mean it's a metal hot shoe, the threads are clean as far as I can tell 👍

I needed a pair of these so I could attach an external microphone and audio recorder to my DSLR camera or pole.
