Not sure about durability but so far so good. Very expensive tripods make them feel like they will last forever but I can't afford them!

I'm not sure if carbon tripods/monopods are that much lighter, but this system is perfect. I went to the shoot with only one monopod and both have more than enough height. I have a smaller tripod (not monopod) that is lighter and used for plan travel, but it's also much smaller so the weight difference is understandable. Just received the goods and from what I see. worth the dollars spent. Comes with ball head and moving video head. Lighter than I expected, ideal for in-flight packing. Someone in a previous review underestimated it because the bag was too small to carry on their head. After some additional disassembly, the head fits well, albeit without a tripod.
