Very well made for the price. I use them for.

Very well made for the price. I use them to hold some still flashes off a low recording table tucked away in the corner of my home studio.

Pros
  • As far as satisfied
Cons
  • Only available in black

Small, light, useful

Very handy for extra lighting downstairs. Very light and small makes it easy to take with you to the place. I recommend a sandbag when using a studio flash as it can get very heavy when extended, but for bare flashes this is fine on its own.

Pros
  • I'm holding my fists
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

My pictures turned out great. I can also use them to do the .

These short light poles were just what I was looking for. They carry a light strip for the underside of the clamshell lighting rig. My pictures turned out great. I can also use them to help backlight.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Approximately

Good for the price Best in Lighting

A set of 2 costs a few euros more. I thought I only needed one stand, but after adding this set of two small stands I found I could get a lot more backlighting for group photos. I think what I mean is there are 3 total if you have enough flashes and take group photos.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Factor set

I'm probably the only one who bought these stands and didn't want to use them for what they were intended for - to hold the light. After three days of production, I can say with confidence that these are mini stands. can easily be used as a cheap "kids combo" supporting up to 15-20kg (Dan's Cart, tripod head and a fully equipped Blackmagic Ursa Mini Pro). They are durable and very light. I still find them awkward to extend to their full height as they wobble a bit. But if you want lightweight…

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Nothing

Good budget value - good value for money.

Required for desktop flashes. Build quality is good for them, and at $18 for two, your expectations aren't very high, and they shouldn't be. The foot spray isn't large, so there may be some balance issues when using some of the small softbox modifiers. You may need to put a small sandbag inside to weigh them down. The action is ok and the clasp is ok. If you literally need it as a countertop, they're great for their size. They fit in a shoulder bag for compact shooting and installation with my…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Essential for highlighting or photographing goods on a low table.

Very happy with this product, I don't think there is anything that can be improved on this product and the price is right. They are 32 inches as advertised full length, mine may have been reduced to around 24-26 inches. The only table that is no higher than the one in my house is the kitchen table. I use a 24x48 table that adjusts from 24 to 28, making it perfect for product promotion.

Pros
  • Minimum height 16
Cons
  • Only available in black

Can carry an amazing amount of weight and not necessarily just for lighting.

I may be the only one who bought these stands who had no intention of using them for what they were designed for - to hold the light. After 3 days of production I can say with confidence that these mini tripods can easily be used as a cheap "kids kit" with a load capacity of 15-20kg (Dan's Cart, tripod head and a fully equipped Blackmagic Ursa Mini Pro) . They are durable and very light. I still find them awkward to extend to their full height as they wobble a bit. But if you want lightweight…

Pros
  • Height adjustable: max 32
Cons
  • Expensive

Perfect for my needs

There are times when the standard height stand is too high, even when set as low as possible. These are the perfect coasters for this as they can be adjusted from 16 to 28 inches. Great for the backlight, but I also used one to light the bottom softbox when setting up the clamshell lighting. The legs are a bit tricky to set up with a sandbag because they're so short, but the large D-ring will attach one of my sandbags to the post fairly easily (do this before adding the monoblock and softbox)…

Pros
  • Material: high quality aluminum alloy construction + iron
Cons
  • No instructions
