Description of ๐ŸŒ‚ Neewer 33" Translucent White Soft Umbrella for Professional Studio Lighting (Pack of 3)

The Umbrella softens all light sources while maximizing light spread. Delivers great skin tone and contrast control. Reflects more light than a translucent umbrella or soft-box. Ideal for eliminating warmth from an object or subject.

Good indoor umbrellas for the price

LOVE these umbrellas. They are lightweight and easy to use as anyone can work with an umbrella! :) They are not very high quality, so don't be too rude to them. For the price I would say they were one of my best buys in my intro to photography. Not much to say, but they're great for diffusing or reflecting light when taking photos inside. I'm not sure if they could withstand wind, breeze or even being dropped to the ground.

Pros
  • Camera and photo
Cons
  • So far so good

Not bad except for the color change

Unlike their silver/black counterparts, they're fine. Very light, it's hard to say if they will hold up, but for the price, they're not the worst. The only problem I noticed is their color balance. The bare AD200 (tested by Xrite in LR) gives 6250K, +4M, while these give 6650K, -4M, so quite a bit of color shift. If they're used together it's fine, at least they're consistent. With another modifier, or even a silver/black version of it, this can be quite noticeable. They pretty much take theโ€ฆ

Effective and Affordable White Diffuse Umbrellas

Neewer New Professional Photography 33" 83cm Studio Lighting Reflective Flash Translucent White Soft Umbrella (Quantity: 3) -- These are great diffuse umbrellas and are great for outdoor portraits as they The ribs are similar to those you see on a regular umbrella and if you're going to use them outdoors I'd recommend adding a couple of sandbags to your stand to keep the build from tipping over the material so you don't lose a lot Losing power from your light. I use them most often for streetโ€ฆ

Very good product which is why I tend to buy newer products

When I opened the product I immediately noticed that it came in a relatively reusable plastic sleeve. When I took the umbrella out of my sleeve and felt it for the first time, it was very strong and almost the same as the material used for a cheap tarpaulin or projection screen. I installed them on my light stands and used an 80 watt bulb and noticed that when it bounces off the surface of the screen it forms a cross pattern like some of my more expensive diffusers which I think is a testamentโ€ฆ

Cheap translucent umbrellas!

Not as big as I expected but for the price of 2 pack for $15 they are great. I usually use reflective umbrellas, but I've recently bought battery powered flashlights (NEEWER Vision 4) that have no connectivity. I wanted to save on batteries so I went with translucent umbrellas as they use less light than reflective ones. The light is almost as soft as a softbox, much better than the reflective umbrellas I've used before. The only downside is that you have less control over the light reflectingโ€ฆ
