Functionality and versatility - the only complaint about the light

This intervalometer was great! After understanding how all the modes work, I started taking long exposures at specific intervals with a specific number of frames, and the delay option gives the camera time to stop before taking a picture. I just set the intervalometer to what I want to do, press the timer button to start it, and walk away while it takes photos for me. This item is very handy! It also has the option to press and hold the trigger and has a lock, so you don't have to hold it down.

Functional but poor build quality

I just received mine and have already started sending it back - of course I've also ordered another one hoping it doesn't have the same problems. My issues are the shutter button is worn, not as bad as one of the photos from another review shows, but enough, the back battery cover doesn't snap or stay on (you have to tape it) and the front LCD is full of scratches. I could live with shutter wear and screen scratches but I don't think a $20 item should need some tape to hold the battery cover in

Choose the right one

This little timer is great for the price. The interface is a bit quirky, but once you get the hang of it, you won't have any trouble using it. I previously bought a Canon wired remote shutter release that worked fine but the design caused the cable to fall apart and it stopped working. . I prefer this new remote control, since they all have the same functions as well as timer functions. The build quality is as good as the Canon and the cost is lower.
