I just received mine and have already started sending it back - of course I've also ordered another one hoping it doesn't have the same problems. My issues are the shutter button is worn, not as bad as one of the photos from another review shows, but enough, the back battery cover doesn't snap or stay on (you have to tape it) and the front LCD is full of scratches. I could live with shutter wear and screen scratches but I don't think a $20 item should need some tape to hold the battery cover in place a few minutes after receipt. Extremely poor build quality aside, the functions on this remote are intuitive and most importantly, work. I didn't even read the user manual and figured out all the features after a few minutes. Some reviews have noted issues with the LCD screen brightness - I think this is unreasonable. It does glow, but not as brightly as other reviews suggest, and the light isn't always on, so it's really not a problem. Regarding the power button, other reviews are correct that this remote does not work. have an off button. EZa is not equipped with a switch. To reduce battery drain when the EZa is not in use, stop recording and make sure the TIMER ACTIVE (6), SET (7) and RELEASE (8) indicators are not showing. Battery discharge is increasing when these indicators are flashing.
