I ended up returning this product. Mine didn't curl as advertised. Also, the strap doesn't come off despite claiming to be dishwasher safe and I'm not sure how you could just throw it in the dishwasher with it. This is a very cute water bottle and appears to be durable, but I wouldn't recommend it if you intend to roll it up or wash it in the dishwasher.

I love this water bottle! This summer I took him to Italy where the temperature was very high. We had to drink water all the time and this bottle really saved our lives! Although its body is made of soft silicone, it stands on its own when empty and is stable when filled. Can be easily stowed away in luggage. I would recommend this bottle to anyone who wants/needs to carry water.

I still love this bottle. I had no problems with the taste. When I received the bottle I followed the cleaning instructions and had no problems with the water tasting. It is dishwasher safe and stands on its own when filled or unfilled. Seems solid and I love the convenience of the carabiner and strap! I strongly do not recommend this product. We bought 7 of these - one for each member of our family to use when traveling. They seemed great at first glance, easy to use and the kids loved the way they rolled up. However, the longer we used them, the more the taste of our water changed. We cleaned them well before use and probably cleaned them at least one more time. They were only used with water. The water tasted so awful I didn't think it was safe for my family.

Despite all the negative reviews about the strange taste of this bottle, I decided to buy it. I read in several reviews that the customer was able to get rid of the weird taste by cleaning the bottle with certain products (usually vinegar or baking soda). I've tried several of these methods, including soaking the item with the cleaning solution in it for an hour, and nothing has worked. This bottle would be good if it weren't for the repulsive taste. Great concept but not enough for my needs. Even after washing with hot water and soap, the plastic taste remains. I took it on a 7+ hour flight, filled it with water and when it was time to drink, the taste of the plastic was so noticeable that I considered throwing the water bottle away. Have had this for a few months now and love it. At first I thought it was a little redesigned but everything works so well. It's lightweight yet tough enough to withstand bumps and falls unscathed.
