I'm old school and bought "hiking shoes" for our son, but I bought them for our daughter and they fit perfectly. They are light and wash well. I have a wide width and a larger size so she can grow with you. The straps are tight and even when she tries to take them off they don't move. I definitely recommend them for toddlers who are ready to start walking.

My son refuses to wear lace up shoes and these are the best shoes with velcro straps that I found. It alternates maroon and navy blue. They give him great support, he can do any activity in them and they hold up well. My son is the kind of kid who ruins shoes on the fly so the fact that it holds up is a miracle. They're not the coolest shoes in the world but my kid doesn't want to be the coolest kid so they're perfect for him. He already has 4 pairs.

Yes, $50-$55 is a hell of a lot for a pair of toddler/toddler shoes. out of them. They are consistently very high quality and explosion-proof. I have two young sons and they live in these boots. This is the fourth pair I've bought since they've grown. They fucking beat them and the New Balance sneakers win every time. They also have a great classic look. The two boys look like little frat boys in it. Fun!
