Habanero Boys' Outdoor Running Shoes: New Balance Lace Up for Energizing Performance Review

Super light, fits as expected. My son is 7.5 years old. In 1 year he has grown by 2.5 shoe sizes. His last pair was New Balance 12 months ago. They're still holding and stretching as his legs grow non-stop. This pair is very light, very sharp, with a very soft insole and bottom. New Balance offers high quality at a decent price, much cheaper than Nike. and just as beautiful.

These sneakers smell like cat pee. We couldn't figure out why my son's bathroom smelled so bad. First the box was removed. Then we thought it was shoelaces. I washed the sneakers and now it seems the smell is coming from the tongue of the shoes. I don't know if it was from the fabric it was made of or if the cat actually peed on it. We used to have the same sneakers in a different color and there were no problems. It's terrible and now my son refuses to wear shoes. Please advise.

I was in seventh heaven to get these. They are perfect in almost every way. The sole isn't so fluffy that you lose tactile feel of the ground, but it's not rock hard either. The width is perfect if, like me, you need a slightly wider toe box. The only reason I brought them back is that the heel actually follows the contours and rubs the heel too much. I'm not a fan of bubbles and it hurts to wear them around the house for just 5 minutes. Completely heartbroken. Otherwise they are so perfect.
