New Balance Running Eclipse Voltage Review

These shoes are cute! My 6 year old loves them. Ideal for running, hiking and outdoor play. We just received them and I'll report later on how they hold up over time. However, they appear to be of good quality - like a pair of adult sneakers, not cheap like many children's shoes.

My son loves that they slide which is a bit annoying for young children but the shoes are true to size they look exactly like the picture.

Great running shoes! Excellent price. My son needed a new pair of black running shoes for school. He tore up his last pair. It's been a week and he hasn't harmed them. He says they are very comfortable and they make him run fast :)

My 8 year old beats every pair of shoes. These are in good condition. Pretty light and I like the neoprene material on them. Easy on/off. Now if only the company could produce shoes that could stand up to stinky boy's feet!

We bought them and my son can't even wear them because they don't stretch enough to fit a foot. We bought wide ones to prevent this and they are not wide at all. Really disappointed with it.

Great quality shoe that has survived summer cycling, hiking, wet weather and bug repellent. The only problem is the shoe hole doesn't have a traditional tongue - my daughter just has to slide her foot through a somewhat narrow hole which doesn't do much. One day she says they fit and feel good but can be difficult to put on, especially if your child has generally wide feet.

Great style and shoes in general. The only complaint is that the tongue is sewn to the top all the way. It is uncompromising, so it is very difficult for my son to put them on. Do the style and price outweigh the wear issues? You will be the judge.

My son wears a very wide size 3 shoe. He is a true size 3 and cannot wear anything that is too tight. I would also like to add that my son is on the autism spectrum. My kids have been wearing New Balance shoes for 6 years now. My boys have wide feet and find the New Balance to be the most comfortable running shoe. This is a pretty serious shoe - definitely more serious than my kid normally wears. I expect them to hold up better than normal kids shoes when hiking, hiking, climbing etc. Essentially, these are traditional trail running shoes that an adult might need, but are made for little kids' feet. The only thing I don't particularly like is putting on the shoes. It's a pretty tight opening I think due to the sewn on tongue design where you literally can't just unlace the laces and fold the tongue back…
