The shoes don't have much structure so I feel like my son's feet aren't getting enough support got enough support. Also, after a week of wearing, the material began to fade and crack. Velcro straps are good but the material of the whole shoe is not very good. I wouldn't buy them again. It's a shame because I love New Balance shoes; my son has other great NB shoes. We tried them in black/grey (I call it dark gray because it's more accurate). when you see them in person) and blue, and while we liked both, the charcoal is way cooler. And the charcoal color is such that they can even pass as dark blue. double win. I love them on my 3 year old this summer with shorts.
