I tested this vise for flatness, squareness, and parallelism and all sizes were less than .0005". Very good result and product and value.

The surfaces are perpendicular to each other as advertised. Operation is smooth and repeatable. The vise was larger than I expected but that turned out to be the case be an unexpected plus I use these vise for attaching firearm parts and they do a great job the larger size actually makes it easier to clamp smaller parts than the 2" vise I used I can slip my finger through from the bottom to position longer parts exactly where I need them. Great tool at a good price.
