OK, but not quite right.

A degree or two difference compared to a standard thermometer. I have two of these and when they are next to each other in the same room they show different prices. I'm not sure if there is a way to calibrate them.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Some mistakes

WILL NOT WORK WITH TRANE

The headings/notes state this will not replace the internal sensor. It should be read that it does not work in any way with the TRANE system. ZSENS930 will be the only option regardless of what Nexia says.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Repair

Does the job with a clasp

They do what they're supposed to do. Good little simple Z-Wave sensor. The range of these devices is very short, so make sure you have a few other repeating Z-Wave devices scattered around the different rooms of your house.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Exchangeable

I've had this unit for a few weeks now and I'm not happy with it at all. I bought it to monitor and control humidity. It started out so-so, but quickly went wrong. The first RH report took almost a day. It then worked fine for a week when it stopped reporting RH (temp reports all the time). I deleted it and re-registered it with no change. If I remove and replace the battery, the temperature and relative humidity are displayed, but only if I remove and reinsert the battery. If you plan to use…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Can't control thermostat

I made the mistake of buying 3 of these thinking I could use them like I used to use Nest temperature sensors. Sounds logical right? Not correct! To do this you need a ZSENS930, which is normally only available from an HVAC dealer. costs for it? Installs about $250 per sensor. But wait, does the ZSENS930 look the same? So! This is literally the exact same hardware, but with different firmware and an additional sticker inside. As far as I can tell the only difference is that the ZSENS930 has a…
