Updated review on January 10, 2021. I've had it since Christmas. I have used it several times, ie I had the console in the holder 3 times. The left thumbstick sticks out to the left, which keeps your game left or shifts to the left as your joysticks move. I would give this a 5 star rating of 2 as everything else seems fine but the drift makes it difficult to play.

Great product - when you can get one that works 100%. I tried twice. The first one I got didn't have gyroscope controls, which was a deal breaker. The second time, the left stick would not return to the center from the top right corner and would often get stuck there. The buttons are big and comfortable, and the device is great overall, but damn it's hard to find one that fits the bill.

This is a very good match for the protective case and professional handheld controller. The buttons are tight, but these are minor things. I personally don't quite like it, but it could be me. However, I'm a little sad that you can't use it as a standalone device. It would be nice to be able to connect in TV mode too, and with as much as adding some sort of charger it would be nice. It works well with what he can do.

A solid unit, I really like the vehicle. I've seen a lot of people say it's shutting down and it is, but here's why. You cannot charge your device while playing. Connecting the power to the bottom will turn off the controller to charge the switch. So if you're okay with him charging up and finding something else to do, that's fine. Personally it's not a problem, but I know some people are afraid of the sun and need it to work 24/7. If this is you, don't buy. But otherwise I'm a fan.

I enjoy playing video games, but neuropathy makes it difficult to play some of them comfortably. This ergonomic design works great for me. I can play as long as I want without pain or discomfort. It has 3 different caps for the right joystick. I was able to quickly find the one that worked best for me. When the husband or kids use it, they can choose what suits them best. Eh……. it's great when it works, but... At least 50% of the time I absolutely can't connect it and EVERY time it's a struggle and a frustrating exercise that doesn't always end successfully. Much easier in my hands, but pretty much useless when it's sitting and refusing to connect for some reason. I would like to know if there is something simple that I miss. I bought this controller to replace the included joysticks for the Nintendo Switch. I have medium to large hands so the joycons get uncomfortable pretty quickly and really ruin the experience. My main console is a PS4 and the Switch is a secondary. My switch was collecting dust before I bought this controller. I've had other ergonomic controllers for the Switch, but some of them either just have weird Joy-Cons attached, or are just flat on the bottom, or not curved enough (laughs). However, this grip is spot on, the downside is that the buttons and stick are too far apart, but I'll probably get used to it. It's good but not perfect. I'm still looking for a grip controller like this, but with knobs and buttons lowered and closer together and a slightly higher screen, this would be the perfect Switch…

Build quality is good. Durable yet lightweight. Easy to use, responsive and doesn't slip (an issue I had with the cons of the joy). If you're used to using professional controllers, you'll feel right at home with this controller. I only have two complaints about it. It is not easy to charge the system while in use.
