NexiGo NG17FGQ-2 Portable FreeSync Compatible Speakers - IPS with HDMI Review

Having had my fair share of monitors, it's safe to say this isn't an IPS or TN panel. No IPS panel, even the cheapest one I've seen, had a black washout like this monitor. Only VA panels can produce such a powerful black wash. This is really bad and incredibly distracting when trying to play in a dark gaming environment. I am very impressed with this monitor. Performance is better than my ultrawide gaming monitor. I had an issue with G-SYNC not working. I contacted support and they replied the same day. They said G-SYNC wouldn't work over HDMI and using a Displayport USB-C cable which can confirm it works great. This is a limitation of the HDMI standard, not the monitor. I'm very impressed with the quality and genuine support. This is a very rare find. I highly recommend!

This monitor worked right out of the box and connected to my 15 inch Macbook Pro with a single USB-C cable. Great portable monitor that I used for my Xbox X/S series for LAN parties with friends. Outstanding brightness compared to many other portable monitors on the market, surprisingly thin and light. I also use it as a second monitor for my MacBook and it's great! The USB-C functionality is very convenient.

It's very thin, but they offer a decent lid/stand. Material - metal, pleasant to the touch - better than plastic. The screen runs smoothly and has good brightness levels. The remote came with a battery unlike some of the other reviews. The remote control is of good quality and works. The instructions for connecting the monitor and power were very easy and I had no trouble setting it up. Overall it's a bit pricey, but for a solid 144Hz portable monitor... well worth it.

The screen is very good for what I need. Working from home at night and paying taxes can be difficult, but this screen makes it easy. The size is impressive and the picture quality is really good.

Bought it for my trip to Asia and after a few uses the screen keeps switching on by itself. forced to carry this garbage for the entire journey of 30 days. I can't make it through Revain's 30 day return window and would rather lose 20% restocking fee and still want to return.

Pretty solid monitor. I have no particular complaints other than wish it was a little lighter. If there's a way to do this, I haven't figured it out. "Paper" instructions did not help. I'm definitely not happy with the purchase, but for the price, it would have been nice to have a little more control.

Good monitor with good performance and features. I originally bought an UPerfect 17.3 monitor but decided to return it and buy the NexiGo instead because: stronger metal finish, more intuitive side controls, ability to maintain brighter screen performance with just a USB-C Thunderbolt port if this is required. , Remote control, more powerful speakers and higher refresh rate.

Must be connected to the power supply, otherwise it will fail. I tried it on a Soley Xbox Power and it keeps crashing with minimal functionality. Halo Infinity works great. I use a hotspot and play just as well as I do on my $800 lg gn950 home monitor. Onyx player

The price does not match its quality. The yellow panel seems to fit, but the smart cover won't support the monitor without an additional stand. There are no batteries in the remote control, even though the instructions say it should be. And the function of the USB-A connection for the monitor is not released either.

I like the picture quality and full size HDMI. The protective cover leaves a lot to be desired and could be better for the price. Overall, this monitor is very expensive for what it is, but the performance doesn't let it down.

I bought this monitor as a second monitor for my desktop system. I mainly use it to have a second monitor in my DAW Studio One. The product is cool and comes in a nice box. The instructions are not very good and are aimed at laptop users. I was trying to use USB-C ports on my ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-E based system. It doesn't seem to be working. I then used a DisplayPort to HDMI cable and the USB power connector in the monitor is connected to a USB power adapter. It worked fine. So I went with you.

The quality was great. Nice and portable, only issue when the speakers were louder. Hearing problems arose during the flight stop. But if you have a headset then there is no problem.

This is a very good monitor! It looks great, picture quality is fantastic, 144Hz + free sync. It also comes with a stand that you can place the monitor on and use it to switch angles, which is very convenient. I'd give it 5 stars if it was a little cheaper, but if the price doesn't put you off, I recommend it to all gamers who need portability.

This Nice! I mounted mine in a custom video production case and use it as a preview monitor and extended computer monitor. It's nice and bright, the colors look great, and it loves the full-size HDMI port. Definitely recommend!
