NgoSew Speed Control Pedal Bernina Review

I felt like I took a chance ordering this online for this Bernina my mum bought circa 1970. My last pedal started my sewing machine on its own at high speed while I was in another room. I came back a few seconds later and turned it off, but not before it started smoking. This new pedal fits my Bernina, has a comfortable smaller design and works great! Thank you!

My mother has had a Bernina 830 for at least 40 years and has used it a lot. She sealed all cable connections if they broke. I ordered it and it arrived in 4 days! The power cord connects to the foot pedal as a single unit. It fits the 830 connector. I tried it and the machine works fine, better than the old taped cable and faster. I'm so glad I found this!

Connected to my Bernina Record 830. Works well with my machine. I don't know its quality until I use it for a while. It definitely doesn't look like the original Bernina Petal, which has started to get hot and smelly. I read on the internet that I need a new petal. Having only paid $50 at a garage sale for all my used cars and accessories, it's hard to pay anywhere near that for just one petal. But I love this vintage sewing machine for various sewing projects.
