I managed to mount it over the sink. The light is installed directly, so you have to open the wall (I did it with plugs) and plug it in directly. Follow all instructions. It installs quickly. The light is bright and sufficient for the sink area. It's strong and durable, more industrial than domestic. This is great, should take a while!

This light is easy to install if you have a basic electrical knowledge. Installation took 15 minutes and consisted of removing the punch, screwing in the cable clamp, connecting the wires and two countersunk screws held in place to secure to the bottom of the case. I like my new lighting system, although the price seems a bit high. Plug-and-play models are significantly cheaper, but take up a socket. The main benefit for me was that it didn't take up any of my precious 110 outlets in the kitchen, but there was a bright light under the cabinet so when cutting food I could actually see what I was doing. . Unfortunately, the 40" light's glass lens was broken. Nicor may see this as a problem - the packaging, while great, is not designed for the piecemeal handling that UPS and Prime have been through.
