. Unfortunately, the 40" light's glass lens was broken. Nicor may see this as a problem - the packaging, while great, is not designed for the piecemeal handling that UPS and Prime have been through. Mounted on the front edge of the cabinet, it illuminates the work surface evenly. The brightness adjustment is stepless and the choice of 3 lighting temperatures is a nice touch Bonus. One of the best design features can also become a problem. Nicor offers captive self-tapping screws to accommodate fasteners attached to the bottom of the cabinet. Great if you work alone. Just make sure the length of the screws doesn't exceed the thickness of the case back. If this is the case, screw the screws in halfway and add a couple of short screws to hold the device firmly to the case.
