Provides more focused and light and heat. Simulates the daytime sun that is ideal for basking. Pinpointed light and heat allows reptiles to easily move away from the heat source and regulate their body temperatures. Heavy-duty filaments yield hours of performance. Recommended for use with Zilla Reflector Domes.

Worth seeing Incandescent

My local pet store also has Zilla products. They weren't too bad compared to the life expectancy of pet store lightbulbs, although I popped a lightbulb out of its socket and it lit up before it completely disconnected and fell dead on the floor. Probably the worst of many, but yes, it happened. Otherwise you can expect them to last 2-3 months or more.

Pros
  • Incandescent
Cons
  • Frequency

Trash in every way

I bought this for a terrarium. The first bulb was very dark and very hot. It blew up after 4 days. The second pear was only half dark purple and half transparent. So bright at night even Ray Charles can see it.

Pros
  • Simulates daytime sun perfect for swimming
Cons
  • Not sure

Beware of Risks*

Barely dissipates heat. Both lightbulbs. One flickered so I just took both out and replaced them with the 60 watt spare bulbs I had just in case and in 20 minutes they heat the cage up 10 degrees more than the 100 watt bulbs I had got from this seller. Lesson learned.

Pros
  • Recommended for use with Zilla dome reflectors
Cons
  • Large and bulky

Bulbs to look out for

Pros
  • Spot light and heat make it easy for reptiles to move away from a heat source and regulate their body temperature
Cons
  • Long delivery time
