Exactly what you need

It turned out that the cameras of the "Owl" system stopped working. But after further research my husband decided to fix the cables and thankfully that was all there was so it was the perfect replacement part. The cameras have been restored and are working.

Product failed within 6 months

Product failed in less than 6 months. Does not provide enough power to run all 4 cameras, if one or more are disabled, the rest of the cameras will function normally. Replacing the PSU fixes the problem which is why I bought it from the start. First off, Night Owl has bad PSUs, swapping seems to be a problem too.

direct replacement for underperforming PSU

Reliable upgrade for existing PSUs that seem to be maxed out at output, 3 Night OWL PSUs do not provide enough current to run cameras and a VCR power outage after 3 months in Mission. I chose power supplies rated 500 milliamps (1/2 amp) more than the original ones, and they deliver enough current to avoid failure. It's also nice to be able to share the power supply with just 2 or 3 pigtails instead of all 4 to power the system by adding an extra power supply.

The night owl has stopped working, try this

No photo. Tried to reset, update the program, nothing helped. I connected the device and then alternately connected the power to the camera. Have a photo, then two. When connecting a third camera, there was no picture. The original power pack (very small) was partially defective and could no longer supply all 4 cameras with power. I received a replacement power supply which is an upgrade from the original and all 4 cameras work great. By the way, the Night Owl block was 2 years and 2 months…

You will not receive the configuration in the photo!

Warning! You will not receive the power adapter shown in the picture. Now they align the fork fins differently. Rather than being a flimsy power adapter that fits side-by-side on a power strip with other similar shapes, this is the cumbersome type that covers two adjacent outlets on a power strip. They have changed the image on the box to reflect this, but Revain does not appear to have changed the graphics on the listing. I haven't plugged it in yet as I need to find a wall wart lighter now…
