Wearing it under a bike helmet and sometimes around your neck both works fantastic. It's a fleece-lined elastic, so the warm side, but not too warm, will overheat you.

I have a thin gaiter that I use in Chicago during the winter and now as a mask that is easy to put on and take off during my runs during COVID- times. Wanted to get another one and ordered this one but it's too thick to breathe comfortably. Otherwise, it's warm and comfortable and serves its intended purpose.

Sufficiently thick, ends fit well if you wear glasses and decent length to cover neck, face and head at the same time. Unlike others where they shut down and you have to decide if you want to cover your face or your head. Cools and breathes well on a hot day and warms on a cool day.
