TOO TIGHT: for women

I was so excited to try these after reading how comfortable and good they are for runners' knees. I have normal width feet and they were so narrow the sides of my feet arched - the worst walk of my life! I figured it would get better in a few minutes, but I had to take them off and walk a mile home in my socks in pain. I've always been a size 9 and I've never had the feeling that a shoe is so small that my feet immediately go numb in them. I thought I could order the shoes one size up, but…

Pros
  • Heel collar that stays off the foot: provides comfort around the Achilles tendon
Cons
  • Nothing here

Extremely tight compared to all previous Pegasus shoes

Too tight a fit compared to all previous Nike Pegasus shoes in the last 5 years. They compress your legs and put pressure on your toenails, which is extremely painful after wearing them all day. At first I thought it was just because they were new so I initially tried wearing them once or twice a week but they never come undone and you can't even untie them with the laces as the tongue is completely sewn on is. high. Very disappointing for the price I paid that the product is so different from…

Pros
  • Highly elastic insole: adapts to the shape of the foot for comfort and support
Cons
  • Safety

Fixed tongue means no adjustment for stretch - laces are useless

I love Nike shoes, they always fit me perfectly. This Pegasus is no exception. EXCEPT the tongue is sewn to the side of the boot opening so you cannot adjust it to widen the opening! Once you get your foot in, and I often need a shoehorn, you can tighten the boot. But weakening is not allowed. This odd design became a big problem for me when I was traveling and my feet were getting swollen for days. It was excruciating to put your feet in. And because I couldn't detach them, they caused cuts…

  • Full length Zoom Air unit: Offers a smooth and responsive ride

Ankle drops awkwardly, no support

I am running a marathon in April and needed new shoes for training and running. I always walk in Nike shoes, although lately I haven't liked the way they look. I tried several other brands (Brooks Running, Asics, New Balance) but they didn't work for me, so I went back to Nike and went for the Nike Pegasus 35, thinking it was the best option is. I've put them on once and they looked good, but I've just put them on for the second time and can't help but feel that the ankle dips are very low. It…

Beautiful, comfortable, stylish, neutral

I've been wearing them for a week now and I really like them. I'm a size 7-7.5 and usually take 7.5 in Nike which fit like a glove. My foot is on the narrow side but I don't feel like they are narrow. The fit is very adjustable. I don't run (I honestly don't even want to walk more than I have to) but I think I remember runners talking about secure fit and slip treatment at one point and I can say it's a solid, reliable fit without healing slip is when you lace and tighten properly.
