The outsole wears out too quickly

I like everything about these shoes except that after only a month of running at about 15 miles/week the outsole is already worn on the outside edge of the sole. Hoe. I haven't had this problem with other shoes. I think this is a design flaw: the sole is very thin.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Not sure

Great shoe but will replace laces

I am a 49 year old 200 pound runner who runs an average of 25-30 miles per week and I usually stick to a range of shoes that fit me . So I was nervous when I decided to try this particular shoe after years of running in the Nike Lunar Glide series, but wow I'm glad I did. Took this pair for a 10 mile run straight out of the box that was mostly road and pavement but also had about 3 miles of cross country in a hilly park and they were fantastic in all three conditions. Amazing grip and reboundโ€ฆ

Great cushioning, great shoes

I've had 2 surgeries for worn discs so jogging can be difficult for me. Of the matching shoes I've tried from Brooks, Saucony, New Balance etc, I've found these Nikes to have the softest soles while still providing good support for my relatively flat feet (I use some arch support insoles). The sock-like fit and exceptional cushioning is easy on my knees and back when running. They really like it.

  • Not bad but...

Cool shoe, forefoot too narrow for me

These are very cool shoes, but they just didn't fit me. The forefoot is about 25% narrow for my foot. At first it was normal, then I walked around the house for a few minutes, it got tight. I had this problem with the Pegasus series, but when I buy "wide", the heel and midfoot often become too loose.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Little things

After five months, the sole detaches from the shoe.

The/were nice shoes. I never ran in it, just wore it for normal walking. After five months, the left sole detaches from the boot. Unacceptable and unforgivable for a $189 pair of shoes.

Pros
  • Beautiful
Cons
  • Something is wrong

Hard to find Black 4E

I paid a few bucks more for smoke black but I'm fine with that as they are hard to find. I've been wearing this Nike Pegasus for 35 years. If you've found a great 4E shoe, why switch? I've tried other more stylish shoes and they last for hours, but I wear Pegasus shoes every day, all day. As a teacher, I'm on my feet a lot and walking around a big campus, and that's great!

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
