Type of review

After purchasing the D600, I spent a considerable amount of time examining the widths of the FF in further detail. I was able to give it a try live at the photo forum, but after that, I just couldn't make heads or tails of it. There are not many reviews available, however Ken Rockwell and the picture zone both gave it a very respectable rating. Since the 28mm angle was still insufficient, I required glass before the holidays, in addition to the 28-300VR (which, by the way, I'm also quite…

Pros
  • superb color reproduction as well as clarity over the entire field at all apertures, Autofocus that is silent and nimble, low weight, 77m filter thread, and a price that is moderate per width. When the lens hood is in the stowed position, it does not cover the zoom ring.
Cons
  • I have not been successful in finding anything yet, but I can confirm that everything is within the parameters of what was declared. Yes, it is not 2.8 and it does not have VR, but the weight and the price.

I took it under the D600. The lens is lightweight, shoots great at most focal lengths, greatcomlors!Convenient for travel, I usually shoot at 18mm and 35mm f5.6 - f8. In my opinion, the best value for money, absolutely satisfied. There is not much to choose, commpared it with: 1) 18-35 D - a high price tag for such a technically outdated soap! 2) 16-35/4 G - on the range from 16mm to 28mm the angles are slightly worse! With 28mm-35mm it is better, weatherproof, VR, BUT overpay for it 2 times?

Pros
  • Price/Sharpness! Light weight! juicy shots
Cons
  • slight decrease in sharpness at 35mm, no dust / moisture protection
