This camera lens arrived exactly as advertised. As was clearly stated, the exterior was a bit shabby. But in reality the lens is in perfect shape and the auto focus works LIKE A DREAM. I saved a lot of money risking this DX ED lens which I bought as a Scratch & Dent model. I have a D7000 with an AF-S NIKKOR 35mm f/1.4G lens and thought it would be nice to add a wide angle zoom for video work. The price made this lens a no-brainer. When testing the lens (at 35mm) versus the 35mm 1.4, it performed remarkably well in daylight. For comparison, I shot the same object with both lenses and opened the files in Photoshop, zoomed to the maximum possible magnification.
