Great for the price

Not as good as the reviews. The lens is bland compared to other Nikon lenses but for the price it's definitely good and I wouldn't want it to remain my only lens but the quality for less than $100 is a bargain. I was surprised that the field of view at the marked focal lengths, especially at 50mm, is very different from a single focal length lens.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Security

Looks and works like new.

I use this lens with a Nikon D800 and it takes very sharp pictures. This is a great, lightweight, all-purpose lens that's easy to carry. I like that it doesn't add weight to an already heavy D800. Focus is quick but sometimes misses and then steps back to focus accurately. The focus motor isn't as quiet as the new AF-P lens. I really liked the price of €75.

  • Delivery was very fast

Amazing lens for the price

Although the lens appears light and cheap it is plastic and the zoom is not very smooth, the lens auto focus works well but... . . low and here. . . The images from this little lens are better than my $1700 24-70mm f2.8. Nikon glass is excellent. I would highly recommend this lens to anyone using it as their day to day excursion lens. I've used it to shoot f8 architecture with my D700 and the images are sharp and the resolution is as good as it gets. Great lens.

Pros
  • Great fit for me
Cons
  • Requires a power outlet

The best lens for an even better camera

So it's very nice that it arrived today - Tuesday - instead of Friday like the estimated arrival date Revane gave me! digital cameras that I have used. It has the fastest shutter speed and photographers have used the camera for model shoots in the past. The autofocus makes my photos look like they were taken by a professional photographer. The Nikon body was in the box because I couldn't afford to swap out the lens (which ended up going to someone else) until I found it here at Revain for a…

Fairly satisfied with being the best in the Camera & Photo category

I bought this lens with the intention of starting the transition from auto to manual. Step One: Focus on yourself. It does exactly what I wanted it to do. The images aren't as bright as with my 35mm lens, but other than that I have nothing bad to say. To answer frequently asked questions about this lens, I am using it on a Nikon DX format. All functions work well except for the autofocus, which I still wanted. I also like that it acts as a kind of bridge between my 18-55mm lens and my 55-200…

Interesting and eccentric at the same time

One of Nikon's first autozooms. It would be an exaggeration to say that it's spartan, it certainly doesn't have all the features of Nikon's current Nikkor and it doesn't have a distance scale. It's just that the 28-80mm VR zoom range only uses a fast shutter speed. The zoom is quite odd, zooming out at one of the extreme ends of the scale (28 to 50 and 50 to 80). At 50mm it zooms in but it has a really nice lens aesthetic, I really like it. Rest assured it's not a 24-70mm f/2.8g, but neither is
