The layout of the buttons has become even more convenient, and I just can't get enough of the presence of joysticks. Previously, it was not very convenient for me to shoot the D3 in portrait position, it was more convenient to hold the D700 with a butblock - here, well, just 5 with three pluses. ISO for noise - plus 2 steps minimum (with D3). Focus: Where D3 thinks, 4 focuses, where D3 focuses, everything just happens instantly. But the most important thing that made me upgrade was the ability to make LONG high-speed RAW series.

I can’t find fault with either the screen or the viewfinder - everything is visible, everything is informative. The menu is logical and practical as usual. The battery really lasts for a couple of days of active shooting. For four hours of shooting in the cold at -20, about 25% of the charge was spent.

It’s inconvenient to change the focus point in general, the joystick is tight and it’s not always possible to really move it where you need it when wearing gloves. Tracking focus and auto focus do not work as they should. Automatic bb has a tendency to walk. Exposure metering was tested in different modes and no difference was noticed - everything is done as if by spot metering. Badly digests magenta, you have to crush with Photoshop. Video shoots with loss of focus, fidgets for a long time to restore - it's better to buy a camcorder The Sony card slot is disgusting. Instead of quickly swapping one CF card for another, you are forced to depend on another format that can only be read by your own card reader! The new card does not fit into the hyperdrive, so a quick backup on the spot in the field will not work, you will have to carry a laptop and a card reader for this card with you.
