looks like new, original firmware, battery test function shows battery as new. Works perfectly! I think it's a Japanese import. Instructions are from Japan. The only problem is that if repairs are needed, I doubt Nikon USA will fix it. I don't expect it to need repairs and if it does it's cheaper to look for another used one.

I got more than I expected for the price. When it said 'body only' that was all I expected but I got the 'package': battery, charger, cable etc. The battery was old but still holds a charge and the camera works with it Except for the internal battery. (so no longer saves date/time settings). For an outdated, discontinued camera, it's a great replacement for my beloved little J1 (which I sadly dropped).

I love the fact that I bought the N1V1 in perfect condition. There were no scratches, the firmware is up to date, as are the lenses and the Ft-1 adapter software. The functions all work perfectly. I tuned 18-105 af-s for N1J1 which works much better in N1V1. The N1V1 adapter over the FT-1 has its limitations, but when it does focus, it focuses tightly and accurately. Perfect for my photos.

This was a big improvement over the Nikon 1 J1. Luckily all my lenses work great with the 1 V1 and it's a much more professional camera for the serious hobbyist who doesn't want to lug around heavy gear. The picture quality is very good. The automatic functions work better than any camera I've owned, including some 35mm SLRs. This is a great camera for capturing kids and pets on the go! I first had a J1 and was very happy with it I never missed it so I decided to buy a used V1 from Revain. I liked it so much I now have two V1s! I like the mechanical shutter and the viewfinder - I use the viewfinder more than the V1's screen.
