Easy to use for maintaining appearance

To date I have never waxed a canvas. This material was very easy to use. I used a soft brush to spray the fabric and found this method very effective. I was able to apply multiple coats in a matter of hours.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Protection

Extremely easy to use and effective.

In my experience, Nikwax products work consistently well. Extremely easy to use and effective. Favorable price/quality ratio as several items of clothing can be treated with one bottle. Apply in a well-ventilated area. It's not toxic, but smells like Elmer's Lime Glue. The water resistance on my old green oil leather is equal or even better than the original. I have also used it on dark blue oily skin with good effect. the product dries to a light green color.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Nothing here

Not worth the headache causing smell

I would say it seems to work as advertised. But the terrible smell of chemicals will give you a headache. I've used the nylon wash version in the past and it's great. But for that. I sprayed on jeans and air dried them for two days. I put them on the next day and I swear I was sick. I figured. Oh, they need some more time. hang her up Tried again two weeks later. Still bad. I'd rather go to work with my pants completely wet than try that shit again.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Expensive

The alternative was convenient and effective.

I don't know why this product has such mediocre reviews. Yes, when you put it on, it doesn't smell very good. It is true. But frankly, hard waxes don't smell very good either, and like hard waxes, the smell goes away after about a week. I have several waxed coats and jackets and before discovering this product I used hard waxes and a heat gun to rewax. This is a messy, labor-intensive job. Nikwax is done with that. you spray it Wipe evenly and let dry. Not only does it provide water repellency…
