Premium Waterproofing Wax for Leather: Nikwax Liquid Protector Review

A gentleman who was formerly President of Merrell Boots told me about this product a few years ago. He said it was the best impregnation for leather boots and boots. I'm so glad he told me about it. I totally agree! I use it on my Merrell shoes all the time and it kicks snow and water right off my boots. Good product!

This is a waterproofing material that I have used for many years. This is the best waterproofing material I've found and doesn't discolour the skin too much. My hiking, leisure and motorcycle boots have been looking great and dry for a long time. Aside from the initial smell (which doesn't linger), this is the only waterproofing material you can buy, in my opinion.

This is good for waterproofing your leather shoes or boots. I have used it on my hiking boots, my leather work boots and my wife's leather winter boots. She was concerned that the product would change the look or color of her boots. It keeps the leather waterproof for about a year, after which it needs to be reapplied. Does not affect the color and shine of the skin.

This was purchased for a pair of walking boots that are at least 7 years old. The boots themselves are in great condition but there were concerns about how waterproof they were after all these years. The Nikwax didn't disappoint, the boots endured quite a bit of rain and ran through streams and countless puddles. I will be using this wax on all of our waterproof boots and shoes in the future.
