Ideal for repairing wiring on a van

I've had some poorly crimped connections on my van and they did a great job. Much better than butt crimping if you have the wire length.

Pros
  • GLA certified
Cons
  • Can't remember

A simple disposable tool when soldering is not easy

I used them to fit a car radio when I wasn't quite ready to solder connections. Perfect use but they cannot be reused and are a bit wasteful overall.

Pros
  • Trial period for one year
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

They work as advertised

They work great when used with the right swaging tool. No failures so far (about 50 connections made), wires are good and strong. Better than butt connectors and easier to crimp in my opinion.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Drill Pack

Soft metal sleeve

I have used a few as a household electrician. They work as expected but I would imagine the metal bushing would be more durable. Crimping felt very light with no resistance. The wires were left in place, so maybe that's how they work.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Broadly ok but...

Easy secure crimping of wires

An easy way to secure wires in an insulated housing. I prefer to solder the 2 stripped ends of the wire, then insert them into the device and clamp them with a wire stripper, but I think squeezing the device with narrow-ended pliers like a wire stripper is safe.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Can't remember

Thin plastic cap, low quality

Plug does not look like plugs in lamps. They have a very thin and soft nylon outer insulation and the ferrule is aluminum rather than tinned brass or copper. I would not recommend using them on line voltage or high power circuits. Crimps are not UL listed and are not recognized as a UR component.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive

THIS SHIT! DO NOT BUY

Absolutely poor quality made such weak crimp metal and loose crappy nylon caps. ALSO THE MOST IMPORTANT PART IF YOU CRIMP ANY WIRES. HATS GO! Therefore, when working with high voltage in the network, beware of electric shock or short circuit of the wires. I want to return these unusable cable connectors, I will NOT use them which is a waste of money.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • Something different
