I'm not sure if the problem was in my project, but the car charging system is properly grounded, there was a lot of interference (noise) in the gauge, maybe a diode filter is needed for better accuracy .

This is a good voltmeter, very easy to install, has a very nice low profile and the blue color of the indicator is bright enough to be seen in the sun. I would buy this again.

Put this on my 3rd gen 4runner and it works great. Fits perfectly in the compartment to the left of the steering wheel and I got it with a green LED to match the dash. Definitely recommended for 3rd generation runners who love off-road.

The product photos show a really nice display. In fact, the unlit segments of the display are so bright that the entire display becomes difficult to read. The manufacturer has to cover the screen with a film to hide the unlit segments. The meter draws 10mA at 12V.

I finally found a great voltmeter for my new Kawasaki Mule SX that Kawasaki doesn't supply so you never know what your battery is doing. This Nilight voltmeter has solved that problem with an outstanding 2 year warranty. Installation was quick and easy as I had previously added a fused power supply to the front to connect accessories.

The LED is easily washed out in daylight due to the brightness of non-illuminated numbers due to insufficient contrast between the illuminated and non-illuminated areas of the LEDs. Everything looks fine at night, but I rarely ride my bike at night. This sensor may work better in a car where it is better protected from direct sunlight.

Except for a better voltmeter. It does a great job once you figure out how to mount it with a relay so it looks good in your amp rack and then it runs for a long time and you think its a good deal with a volt meter that is not good. what other reviews said it would. And then boom. There is no more answer. He's fried. It does not cope well with voltage fluctuations.

Hookup was easy and straightforward. The visibility and ease of viewing/reading were ideal. Worked great for about 2 years until my husband accidentally short circuited it while moving the cord for some stupid reason. I just bought another one to replace (thought I'd upgrade since I had to replace it) and I'm nowhere happier because the new one came with no instructions for its extra cables. Now I'm still without.
