Very happy with this kit. I bought this to replace my optical drive/DVD player with mid 2009 13 inch MacBook Pro. Everything went smoothly, no problems. I was very happy using the tools provided even though I had my own. / the case is made of plastic, i would like metal, but i don't see a problem with that, i would buy more.

Overall I'll only give 3 stars with the following comments: 1. The hard drive cage worked great, the tools that came with it were perfect for the installation and there were no problems with it.2. The Superdrive case on the other hand didn't work at all, nothing, null, bookus. So my macbook runs with exactly 2 hard drives but I ran out of a superdrive, now I have to look for a working case or a replacement external optical drive.

Worked perfectly for my needs, installed in a 2012 13" MacBook Pro (non-Retina) and everything worked perfectly, SSD installed in the case (2012 MBP has SATA 3 6Gbps in the optical bay ) and it's FAST, my only issues are with the DVD case as it does its job, I just wish it was made out of slightly better materials, an aluminum case would be great, also I don't see why USB 3 couldn't connect an optical drive via a usb, but that would help, but overall I'm very satisfied.

I am very satisfied with the set. High-quality screwdrivers and tools are also included. (I recommend having tweezers handy to remove small screws from the case). To use this you will need to watch a video with instructions on how to remove the optical drive from a laptop; in my case it is Macbook Pro 17 inch 8.3 Late 2011. Works great on my Late 2011 15" Macbook Pro, easy to install. The only issues I have with the set are the quality of the tools. They belong to the cheese class and are very easy to remove. I have my own, but if you didn't have one you'd end up in a world of pain and have to hunt down a set of hardened metal tools.
