🥤 Ninja 400-Watt Blender/Food Processor: Frozen Blending, Chopping, and Food Prep with 48-Ounce Pitcher and 16-Ounce Chopper Bowl (QB900B) - Silver Review

I bought this blender specifically to make smoothies and protein shakes. Thanks to its powerful motor, it is excellent for crushing ice and mixing thick liquids, and thanks to its sharp blades, it easily slices any fruit.

That thing was pretty cool. I've used it to make smoothies, pesto, peanut butter and probably used it every other day. I had the motor on a shelf and plugged in so I could pull out one of the canisters and use it easily, but today while making pesto (this was delivered on April 26th - less than two months after I bought it) is the engine dead. I was shocked. This thing is amazing but it died so fast!

What the heck? I bought this over a year ago when my 33 year old Hamilton Beach blender finally died. I rarely use a blender but would like to have one on hand when I need it. Took it out of the box for the first time yesterday to mix 16 oz. frozen berries with condensed milk and lemon juice for making sorbet. Motor burned out on first use! I don't know what edition I have as I had it long before I used it. I bought this based on the reviews. What a big disappointment.

I bought this blender a few months ago and have used it several times since. This product is mainly made of plastic, which makes it very light. Also, the blades (very sharp btw) are on a removable spindle, so they are very easy to clean, which is important for a blender! Ninja Master Prep's power is impressive. The design and motor performance are great, but the jug is ABSOLUTELY GARBAGE. This is the second similar Ninja Master Prep I have purchased (the first was Ninja QB1000 Master Prep). I only bought this pitcher because the 48oz replacement pitcher from Ninja's website was about the same price as the pitcher ONLY. Cracks appear in the plastic. And they always do.
