Worked as advertised

Worked great. I ended up using epoxy with just a few mm of the existing pipe sticking out of the wall. Preparation is everything, sand and clean all work surfaces. An extremely strong bond. I don't see it falling apart every time.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Works as advertised

This was a great solution for the bath spout. After we moved the shower, the plug for the bath filler was not enough. This was a great solution as the standard muff did not allow the spout to slide over the regular muff.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Repair

The photo is deceptive.

This does not come with the dry clutch shown in the photo. That was the main reason I bought this item. You cannot buy this collar anywhere else. I had to return it. Please change the photo to match the item you are selling.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No

Worked as expected.

I bought this to replace a rusted nipple that was causing a new tub spout to leak. I bought it because it came with epoxy resin. I wasn't sure I could braze the tube after cutting it past the corrosion limits. Luckily I was able to solder the pipe and prevent the new tub's spout from leaking.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Useless features

Highly recommend this item

This extension saved me a lot of hassle and work when trying to reconfigure an undersized bathtub faucet that was sticking out of the wall. It actually came with a two part epoxy in case you are not going to be soldering the connection. I took the risk of soldering it and it worked for me. If you are in the same situation, I highly recommend this article.

Pros
  • Elegant Design
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Fits a bit, but fits.

The OD of the tapered portion of this piece SEEMS to be slightly larger than the OD of the tub spouts, which we tried to lengthen. Not much, but it's just big enough not to fit inside. However, after beveling the edge of this fitting and the inside edge of the pipe to remove burrs on one or both, it fit.

Pros
  • Highly rated by testers for support and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Worked great on tube fittings

I couldn't get my tub spout off. So I did the right thing and cut it off with an angle grinder. Then I realized I had cut it too short. I didn't have access to replace the hose without tearing the tub surround. It was the perfect solution. Like new. No leaks. Nothing. I will definitely buy it again if needed

Pros
  • Very good value
Cons
  • Piggy Bank Price

Fits a bit, but fits.

The OD of the tapered portion of this piece APPEARS slightly larger than the ID of the tub spouts, which we attempted to lengthen. Not much, but it's just big enough not to fit inside.
