Nite Ize KRGS 01 R3 Ring Black Review

I bought several of these to use with the Nite Ize Bottle Cap Hook Keychain. The small S-shaped containers are made of metal and are slightly more spacious than the plastic bottle-top containers. I like to use these S-Biners instead of the plastic crates. And the price is no more than for a regular specialized keychain in any other store. This makes it easier to organize your keys, which I have way too many of! - and allows you to easily remove certain keys from the ring for personal use.

I like Nite Ize as a brand. However, this is an imperfect product. They've certainly built "a better mousetrap" over the standard split ring, but it's not exactly perfect. The purpose of this design is to allow quick removal or addition of individual keys. However, keys can come loose too easily. I think it's the spring tension. The clips just don't hold up. Luckily, the key didn't come loose anywhere except in my pocket, but I imagine the timing was far less forgiving given proper pressure on…

I like this thing. I should have received the black one at the time of my order because that was all that was in stock. I honestly knew the black finish would likely scratch over time and I didn't care. If so, then don't use black. This thing is great for people with multiple sets of keys. I have house keys for two places, post office keys for two places and car keys for a couple of cars. With this thing, I can only take the keys I need with me when I leave the house.
