I have never used clay powder but the scent of this powder is perfect for me. It's not as harsh on my nose as most perfumes and I still smell good! And yes, no more baby powder smell I can't stand! I wish the small container was a little cheaper and the container is difficult to open. Once opened I have no problem dispensing the powder.
