🍽 Nordic Ware 10-Inch Splatter Microwave Cover (Pack of 2) - Clear Review

Bought the set (plate+lid) many years ago. The lid started cracking so I bought them to replace the old ones. They trap heat; contain splashes and help keep food moist. They're big enough to sit on most plates so they don't touch the food.

My god, everyone needs this! This keeps the inside of the microwave clean without interfering with cooking. I love that there are two packs so I can swap out the dirty one right away and replace with a clean one for the next person. I keep one in the microwave myself because lazy people will see it and hopefully use it.

This is advertised as a matching plate up to 11" would be big enough. But I just received them and on the box itself they are included Listed 10 1/4" and of course they are too small for my dinner plates. Disappointing! They are actually 10 .25" as stated on the label - NOT as stated by Revain, NOT capable of 11" Handling plates without falling off like my current ones! :(

I used wax paper rolls to cover my microwave dishes and didn't like that method. I was so happy when someone recommended this product to me! It's the size of soup bowls, and I have a large dinner plate too. This seems to allow the food to heat up quicker, so adjust the time when using it for the first time. It stops all splashes, vents cleanly and cleans in no time. I am 100% happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone who uses a microwave!

I'm adding this review mainly because of Nordicware's lackluster response after I emailed them about this defective lid. I'm pretty sure its functionality hasn't changed, but I didn't get even a hint of an apology. Manufacturer's Response: This appears to be a bug in the casting process. .This should not affect the performance of the covers. Mine Lids for the cymbals have decided to crack and are falling apart after many years of good service. I was going to buy the exact same cover but couldn't remember exactly where I bought mine because it was many years ago. Checked for Revan.
