Not very versatile

These are not very versatile drills. They are masonry. You can see where the triangular tips have been welded because there is no coating and they have started to rust. I love the quick change base, but honestly how many quick changes would you have to do with masonry bits? They work on tiles if you walk slowly. The hole he left was clean and didn't break off a piece.

Pros
  • Twist drill
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Not bad, but no more

They're not that bad, but they bite slowly (the tips are wide and don't have a coating like other drill bits), and drilling is slow for the same reason. The hole is clean, no chips. I doubt they will work on metal without rising out of the pilot hole, the wide heads are for masonry and not versatile in my opinion. I mean you can try, but that doesn't mean you should. However, I've never tried hex drill bits and I will admit that it's very nice because the drill bits don't slip in a homemade…

Pros
  • Drill Bits
Cons
  • High Price

Universal Hex Bits

I have tried these bits on various materials and while they work well on brick and concrete these are not the best bits I have used for this purpose have. They drill a bit slower even with a hammer drill and they're a lot better than standard drill bits, but I wasn't overly impressed with this type of material. For metal and wood these bits are slightly better and don't seem to dull even after prolonged use. I like hex bits because they work with any 1/4" impact driver as well as standard drill

Pros
  • Power Tool Parts & Accessories
Cons
  • So far so good
