Norpro 5986 Digital Thermometer Review

As a hesitant buyer, I was impressed by this thermometer`s accuracy and ease of use. Its digital display made it easy to read AND the readings were consistent with my other thermometers .The probe was long enough to not burn my fingers and it was easy to clean. The only downside was that the battery compartment was a bit tough to open. Overall, I would recommend this thermometer for any home and kitchen use..

After trying this gadget, I am impressed with its accuracy and EASE of use. It's great for monitoring food temperature and preventing overcooking. The digital display is easy to read, and the probe is long enough to reach the center of thick cuts of meat... However the plastic casing feels a bit flimsy and may not withstand heavy use. Overall, a helpful tool to have in the Home and Kitchen for avid cooks!

It reads the temperature a little slow. The plastic casing sometimes bursts, but then assembles itself again. It's not bad for the price, but I ended up replacing it with a $24 model from another manufacturer because I wanted faster readings when making latte milk.
