Norpro Heavy Duty Brining Bag Review

This is junk! It didn't close so there wasn't enough brine to cover the turkey and I'm concerned it won't close tight. I ordered 3 weeks before Thanksgiving but it was the only item Amazon was able to ship to me in time. Very dissatisfied here. I would angrily give zero stars if I could.

Very disappointed with the quality of the product. They advertise that the bags can hold a 25-pound turkey. The turkey I wanted to pickle weighed 22 pounds. One of the seams of the first bag burst. No problem you think. That's why you buy a backup. Things happen. Spring . Things happen. The second pocket also leaked at the seam. Maybe it was an accident, but 2 defective bags? I would not buy this product again.

Doesn't leak, easily holds a 14 lb turkey for brine. I used a large turkey casserole last year and it was 1) difficult to put in the fridge (needed a lot of moving things) and 2) it didn't cover the whole turkey. I like to do all the work carefully, and this packet allows the brine to cover the turkey 100%. I'd recommend squeezing out all of the air to ensure the brine covers the entire turkey, and it'll be easier if someone helps you - I could easily see squeezing out some of the brine if…
