Well, the half round thumb thing is a fake wheel - it can't rotate. Millimeters are easy to read, inches are less easy. The knurled knob to hold a reading works. The marks are engraved and accurate - the vernier reading scales came adjusted correctly. The jaw faces meet neatly with no light showing through. I understand that these are more on the low-end of the price spectrum but I did not expect do get a pair of calipers which appear like they have been in use for a decade. It is gross and dirty, with thick oily dirt and dirt which cannot be really very well cleaned.I would not recommend this product and feel disgusted every time I have to use it.

Scale was perfect with zero error but the box it came in was broken. Hence docked a star. Contacted seller and they responded but never fixed the issue.

These vernier calipers are always hard to interpret completely accurately, but this one seem pretty good. Its a great shop tool to verify a bolt to a drill bit or wrench and things like that. Stainless, so I don't have to knock the rust off.

im giving this an overall 5 star rating because im not doing precise machine measuring. im a guitar hobbiest and the micrometer is only for checking string gauges. it works fine for that. the caliper on the other hand will be great for checking nut widths and thickness'. this pretty good quality for garage woodworking i only wish the measurment indications were in inches, 1/16, 1/8, 1/4 etc. i end up placing the caliper on a standard ruler lol. good enough, it didnt break the bank.
